President/Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer
Vickie, daughter of Carole Boyd and president of the funeral home, is a licensed funeral director and embalmer.
A Marion native, she graduated from Marion Harding High School, attended OSUM prior to receiving her registered nursing degree from Owens Community College in Toledo and her Bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Toledo. Vickie worked as a surgical tech. and then a registered nurse in surgery at Marion General Hospital for many years. She continued her career in Toledo, at St. Luke's Hospital, while receiving her BSN degree. Vickie completed an associate degree in Mortuary Science from PIMS (Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science), and is now a licensed funeral director and embalmer. She is the proud mother of Michael and Marcus who are also involved in the family business. Her favorite past time is spending time with her 2 granddaughters.
Master Funeral Director/Embalmer
Michael McClellan, the older son of Vickie McClellan, is a graduate of St. John's Jesuit High School in Toledo, OH, BGSU, and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science (PIMS). He also served as a Reservist in the U.S. Marines. Michael takes much pride in caring for his two young daughters and teaching them to fish, one of his favorite past times. Michael is known to sing a song or two around town on any given Karaoke night. You might even find him out on the golf course, he's a newbie, so look out, FORE!!
Funeral Director
Marcus McClellan, grandson of the late Phillip and Carole Boyd. He graduated from St. John's Jesuit High School in Toledo before attending Owens Community College where he graduated in 2017 with an Associate degree in Music Business Technology. His introduction to the funeral industry began when he worked for a removal service in Toledo. While attending OSU, he worked part-time for Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home and Buckeye Cremation Services. Marcus graduated from The Ohio State University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in strategic communications and has now completed his apprenticeship to becoming our newest Funeral Director.
In his spare time, Marcus loves working out, training his dog, Moshi, and spending time with his fiancé, Cayla. Marcus is a member of the local Bourbon and Cigar Club and the Marion Country Club where he is learning to golf.
Licensed Funeral Director/Certified Pre-need Specialist
Fred Schenk has been a licensed funeral director for nearly 25 years now while focusing on Advanced Funeral Planning with families for the last 20 years. He has met with over 8000 families during this time and has achieved the reputation of being a knowledgeable, caring, honest and helpful professional in the pre-need area. He has achieved the title of "Certified Pre-need Consultant" as bestowed by the National Foundation of Funeral Service. Over these same years, he has developed and nurtured a monument company that offers clients high quality memorials for a great value. Fred is a proud Ohio State University graduate from 1989, and resides in North Central Ohio with his family.
Administrative Assistant
Jenny is proud to call Marion her hometown. She graduated from Harding High School and raised her two children here. She is finally working in her "dream job", and we are lucky to have her! Jenny has been a positive addition to our staff, as she looks forward to walking to work every day. She loves her morning coffee, but her newest love is her new dog, Paul. Her always and forever loves are her 3 grandsons, Owen Elijah, and Dylan.
Funeral Assistant
Bill Hutchman is a lifelong resident of Marion, Ohio. He graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1985 and continued his education earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interpersonal and Public Communications at Bowling Green State University. Bill married Carrie Jones in 1990 and together have three amazing kids, Wade, Mitchell, and Meg. In addition to assisting us on evenings and weekends, Bill is a food service consultant during the day and a professional musician playing drums for Cherry Blonde, The Ohio Express, and occasionally portrays Mick Fleetwood in a tribute band called Fleetwood 2-The Max.

Jalen is a hardworking, young man with the dream of one day becoming a funeral director. He certainly has the potential and is learning from the best! Jalen is proud to call Marion, "The Strongest Town in North America" his hometown. His enthusiasm and positive work ethic sets a great example for the young people in our community.
