Travis Michael Jackson

Travis Michael Jackson Jr., age 81, of Marion passed away at Morrow County Manor on February 24, 2026. Travis was born to the late Travis M. and Eldora (Thompson) Jackson Sr., in Lebanon, MO. He graduated from high school and continue his education earning a master’s degree in business management from Golden Gate University. Travis would honorably serve his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Once out of the Navy Travis’ need to help and serve did not stop there. He would go on to become a fire fighter for Marina, California for 10 years before deciding to become a police officer of Marina, California for 5 years. If this was not enough service for others, he left the police force to return to the Fire Service as the Chief of the department in Marina, California for 12 years. After service as Fire Chief, he would retire as a dispatcher for the Arizona Highway Patrol.

When Travis was not focused on public service he enjoyed reading books, of which his favorite author was Earl Stanley Garner. He also loved watching television shows about the Police and Fire Fighters. Travis was also gamer and spent hours playing World of Warcraft. Travis loved spending time with his wife Connie “wasting gas” driving through Amish Country and out into the desert of Arizona.

Left to cherish the memory of Travis are Wife, Connie, and sons. Tommy, Anthony, Jeffery Jackson and David Beaver, daughter Amy Romayor, brother Pat (Joanne) Jackson, grandchildren, Daniel, David, Daisy Romayor, Lillia, Magnolia, and Georgia Jackson.

Travis is preceded in death by Parents and brother Robert V. Jackson.

Friends and family are invited to the calling hours of Travis Michael Jackson Jr., on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Boyd Funeral Home from 11am until 12pm.
